Cycling
The Peak District is without a doubt one of the greatest places in the UK to cycle.
Whether you're an experienced hill climber or prefer a Sunday trail ride, the Peak District has something for you.
The Old Barn is situated near famous climbs such as Winnats Pass (20km), Monsal Head (17km) and Axe Edge (7km).
Bicycles can be stored in our safe and dry woodstore.
Hiking
There are numerous gentle walks straight from the front door. For seasoned walkers, the more challenging hikes of Kinder Scout and Bleaklow are not too far away. Within easy reach are the world-renowned gritstone climbing edges of the Eastern and Western Peak.
Other Activities
We are close to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the National Trust properties of Lyme Park and Longshaw Estate. We are also located close to the Tissington trail and the Monsal trail.
